This Privacy Policy explains how Secrts (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website and app. We built Secrts for privacy and intimacy—no feeds, no public profiles, no ad tracking.

1. Information We Collect

• Account & Contact. Email address and basic device metadata (e.g., OS, app version).
• Content You Choose to Store. Messages, photos, videos, journal entries, and preferences inside your private couple space. You control what’s saved.
• Usage & Diagnostics. Crash logs and performance metrics to keep the app reliable.
• Waitlist/Marketing (Site Only). If you join the waitlist, we store your email to contact you about launch and product updates.

2. How We Use Information

• Provide core features (private chat, shared memories, date-night swipe, vault).
• Maintain security and prevent abuse.
• Fix bugs and improve performance.
• Send service/transactional emails (e.g., onboarding, security notices). Marketing emails only if you opted in, and you can unsubscribe anytime.

3. Data Storage & Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest where applicable. Vault sections are protected with device biometrics where supported. No system is 100% secure, but we apply industry-standard controls to safeguard your data.

4. Sharing & Third Parties

We don’t sell personal data. We use service providers (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics for crash/diagnostics) under contracts that require them to protect your information and use it only on our instructions.

5. Your Choices & Controls

• Access/Update. Edit your account info in the app.
• Export/Deletion. You can request a copy of, or deletion of, your account data at any time.
• Communications. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails via the link in any email.

6. International Data Transfers

If you access Secrts from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the U.S. or other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

7. Children’s Privacy

Secrts isn’t intended for children under 13. If we learn we’ve collected data from a child under 13, we’ll delete it.

8. Region-Specific Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (e.g., access, correction, deletion, portability, objection).

• EEA/UK (GDPR). If GDPR applies, our legal bases include: contract (providing the service), legitimate interests (security, diagnostics), and consent (marketing).
• California (CCPA/CPRA). We don’t “sell” personal info. You can request access or deletion of your information.
